Monica Smith, a Navajo silversmith, created this petite all-sterling silver squash blossom pendant in saucer globe form with a thin bale. The squash blossom form developed in Navajo silversmithing from Spanish colonial bridle pomegranate motifs in the 1880s and became the most iconic form in Navajo jewelry.
