This sterling silver overlay pendant by Navajo silversmith Alex Sanchez features a freeform natural Kingman turquoise cabochon set in a clean bezel at the top of a tapered form covered in hand-stamped petroglyph motifs — spirals, bears, stars, and dragonflies drawn from Ancestral Pueblo iconography. Sanchez is known for his deeply dimensional overlay work, which involves cutting and layering two sheets of sterling silver to create sculptural relief. Kingman turquoise, mined in Mohave County, Arizona, is among the most historically significant turquoise sources in the American Southwest, known for its bright sky-blue color and distinctive black matrix. Measures approximately 4.5" tall including bail, 0.9" wide, 34 grams. Available exclusively through Turquoise Mustang.
