Dan Dodson, a Southwest jewelry designer who collaborates with Turquoise Mustang, rendered a large squash blossom pendant entirely in sterling silver — allowing the form and silversmithing to take full focus without stone. The squash blossom necklace is the most iconic form in Navajo jewelry, developed in the 1880s from Spanish colonial bridle pomegranate motifs and adapted into a distinctly Navajo aesthetic. This pendant features a domed saucer globe top, stacked silver collars, elongated blossom drops, and a corrugated bale. Measures 2.75" tall, 0.75" wide, 20 grams. Bale: 10mm.
