Timothy Yazzie, a Navajo silversmith, arranged nine teardrop Palomino variscite cabochons in a radial floral cluster on this sterling silver pendant with hand-cut bezels and traditional stampwork. Palomino variscite — sometimes called Palomino turquoise — is a variscite mineral from Nevada, distinguished by its distinctive sage-green, golden ochre, and painterly matrix patterns that differ visually from any turquoise mine. Variscite is a hydrated aluminum phosphate, chemically related to but distinct from turquoise. Measures 3" tall, 2.25" wide. Bale: 10mm. Available exclusively through Turquoise Mustang.
