Pink Conch and Kingman Turquoise Cluster Ring by Kathleen Livingston, Navajo

Kathleen Livingston, a Navajo (Diné) silversmith, created this cluster ring with a square pink conch center stone surrounded by eight square Kingman turquoise cabochons and peyote button corner accents on a nicely stamped adjustable band. Pink conch (Queen Conch, Strombus gigas) shell has been traded across the American Southwest for over a thousand years. Kingman turquoise from the Kingman mine in Mohave County, Arizona is one of the most historically important turquoise sources in the Southwest, known for its bright sky-blue color and black matrix.
