Chimney Butte, a Navajo silversmithing studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico, produced this tufa cast cuff featuring Carico Lake turquoise and four pink conch shell oval accents with hand-applied overlay buttons. Carico Lake turquoise comes from the Carico Lake mine in Lander County, Nevada, and is immediately recognizable by its vivid apple-green color — a result of zinc replacing copper in its mineral composition — making it one of the rarest and most collectible American turquoise varieties.
