Kingman Turquoise Teardrop Triangle Stampwork Cuff by H.T. Jim, Navajo
Kingman Turquoise Teardrop Triangle Stampwork Cuff by H.T. Jim, Navajo
H.T. Jim, a Navajo silversmith, set a natural teardrop-shaped Kingman turquoise cabochon at the center of this wide sterling silver cuff covered in repeating triangle stamp patterns. Kingman turquoise from the Kingman mine in Mohave County, Arizona is one of the most historically important turquoise sources in the American Southwest — it supplied the turquoise used in much Navajo and Pueblo silverwork through the 20th century, and is known for its bright sky-blue color and black chert matrix. Triangle stampwork is a fundamental pattern in Navajo silversmithing, referencing mountain and earth forms. Available exclusively through Turquoise Mustang.
