Silver Quarter Large Link Chain, 25", Navajo

A Navajo silversmith hand-fabricated this 25-inch heavy silver link chain entirely from authentic U.S. silver quarters dated 1942–1964 — each link formed from a genuine 90% silver coin preserving Liberty profiles and mint years. American silver quarters were composed of 90% silver until 1965, when the US Mint shifted to copper-nickel clad composition. Coin jewelry has been a Navajo silversmithing tradition since the late 19th century, and this chain represents an unusual expression of that tradition at substantial scale.
